Disney & Gender
This course, Writing 39A, will introduce us to foundational concepts and "habits of mind" that will be carried on as we continue our university life. We will be reading passages, watching videos, and analyzing the concepts introduced through these activities for this quarter. Our primary focus of the class would be answering a specific question: "How do Disney films contribute to the construction of society's values and norms about gender roles?" We are encouraged to embrace academic thinking and personal writing. Hopefully, each of us will improve our writing abilities through communication with other classmates and our continuous dedication to the course.
